Red Oxide Metal Primer is a highly durable, water based Cement Primer.

Directions To Use: Number One Red Oxide Metal Primer can be applied by brush, roller or spray.

Surface Preparation:
Ensure surface is thoroughly clean, dry and free from all loose dirt, chalk, grease, fungi, algae and flaking Paint. This can be achieved by brushing with a ujire/stiff coir brush, followed by water jetting if required.Dry sanding, flame cutting and/or yielding of the dry paint film may give rise to dust and/or hazardous fumes. Wet sanding should be used wherever possible, if exposed can be avoided by the provision of the local exhaust ventilation, suitable respiratory protection equipment should be used. For areas severely affected by algae fungus. Avoid application of putty or filing compound uihile painting an exterior surface.

Thinning: Thin 1 Litre of Number One Cement Primer with maximum of 500ml water.

Priming: In case of freshly plastered walls, apply 1 coat of Number One Cement Primer after thinning with water in the ratio of 1 : 0.5 by volume. For better performance Number One Paints Cement Primer is recommended.

Finishing: Apply 2 coats of Number One Premium Emulsion for normal surfaces with 4-6 hours between coats. 3 coats may be required in case of darker colour for further details refer product data sheet.
